ntroducing Mr. and Mrs. Merrick 💍
- Okay. You know that part on Sweet Home Alabama when Jake says to Melanie “So I can kiss you anytime want?”
Of course you do.
I thought about that a million times yesterday watching these two “get hitched.” The excitement in Andy’s eyes as Morgan began to walk down the stairs, to meet him for their First Look. Between the combination of nerves & excitement, his eyes just beamed.
Then he saw her, “Damn baby. You look good.”
All day I saw the twinkle and excitement, like a silent exchange of “we’re almost married!” and “omg we’re married!”
Then there was Missy (Morgan & Andy’s dog), who stole the show as she made her way down the aisle. Loving every bit of attention & winks from the crowd.
About mid-way down the aisle, Morgan’s Dad looked over at her, and I could see the pride & love in his eye.
Just as two exchanged their vows, a golden ray of leaves fell beautifully around them from the trees. Entrancing my memory.
But of all the beautiful moments, one of my favorites in particular was just after stating they stated their “I do’s.” They proceeded down the aisle and as they left the ceremony site, they leaned in and gave each other the sweetest & kindest hug. The kind that just feels like home. You know those kinds.
As the night went on, they celebrated the evening with friends and family, dancing & singing with one another through the gas station parking lot to the venue. And I just knew.
This one’s gonna be forever.
